Comparative analysis in forming intercultural competence in Russia and Germany”

Annotation of the report:

The tasks of reformation of modern Russian society highlight the problems of qualitative education. The further our country moves along the  political, economic and social developments, the more distinct  becomes the dependence of success in these spheres on  cultural and educational levels of population, which are influenced now by migratory processes on the territory of our country.

If we trace the educational lines of migrant pupils in Krasnoyarsk for the last five years, we can see that only about 30% of such pupils finish a  secondary school and even less of them keeps further higher education.

Practice shows that problems of language barrier, cultural differences and failures in learning activity lead to disadaptation of migrant pupils, which is characterized by reduction of the circle of their interaction, rejection of norms and values of that sociocultural environment they got into.

The problems connected with migration appeared in Russia in the 90th of last century. They were similar to the problems that were mentioned in Germany in the 60th already.

By the end of 70th of the last century the  German society  had realized that the  presence of foreign student in German schools is a permanent phenomenon. Then the concepts of intercultural pedagogy  appeared and the objectives of intercultural education were formed.

The report considers the main concepts of intercultural pegagogy and key requirements to  knowledge, skills and  teacher's competence for migrant -oriented work.

The comparative analysis of  professional  teacher training  problem  in Russia and Germany to  work with migrant  children and formation of  intercultural competence of a future teacher is carried out.
